Privacy Policy

Short version: the Scathe app keeps your habits on your phone. The only thing that ever leaves your device is the receipt when you buy something — and that's handled by the app store and our payments provider, not by a server of ours. We don't have one.

Your habits stay on your phone

Everything you actually do in Scathe — your habits, check-ins, streaks, XP, achievements, settings, and the roasts you've collected — is stored only on your device, in a local database. We never upload it, never see it, and have no account system or server to send it to. Uninstall the app and that data is gone with it.

What leaves your device

One thing: in-app purchases. When you buy something, the purchase is processed by Google Play and recorded by our payments provider, RevenueCat, so the app can unlock what you paid for, restore it if you reinstall or change phones, and spot duplicate or fraudulent transactions. To do that, the following is collected over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection:

Who handles your purchase data

Deleting your data

On-device data: uninstall the app and it's deleted. Purchase records held by RevenueCat: email hello@scathe.app and we'll have them deleted.

Not for kids

Scathe is an 18+ app — strong language, adult humor, the whole point. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Security

The only data that ever leaves your device travels over an encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connection.

The website

If you hand us your email address on this site, we use it for exactly one thing: a single notification when Scathe launches. It's shared only with the email service that sends that message — never sold, traded, or read aloud at parties. Email hello@scathe.app to be removed. No questions, mild relief.

Contact & changes

Questions, or want your data gone? hello@scathe.app. If this policy changes, we'll update the date below.
